The Zip Irvin Project

Zip Irvin is a Cincinnati-area saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist whose music draws from smooth jazz, R&B, blues, reggae, and straight-ahead jazz.

A longtime performing musician, Zip brings an improvisational approach to both live performance and original music. His current work through The Zip Irvin Project combines saxophone-driven performances with original compositions and contemporary production, while remaining rooted in the jazz, blues, latin, and groove traditions that have shaped his playing.

Whether performing with other musicians, developing original recordings, or appearing at private and community events, the emphasis is simple: strong musicianship, a good groove, and connecting with the audience.

During the holiday season, Zip also performs as Saxy Santa, bringing live saxophone and Christmas favorites to senior living and retirement communities, holiday parties, businesses, restaurants, and private celebrations.
